COBERM, a joint EU-UNDP initiative is soliciting innovative project ideas from representatives of civil society, including registered local and international non-governmental organizations, foundations and academia that are in line with the following aims:
1) Support innovative people-to-people confidence-building opportunities;
2) Help create an environment conducive to fostering peace, stability and human security.
COBERM is a grant programme that supports initiatives of local Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in a wide range of areas and activities, including support to improve the lives of people and living conditions of local communities affected by conflict. COBERM was set up in May 2010, and implemented two phases during 2010-2015. Its third phase was launched in January 2016.
COBERM is an apolitical, impartial and flexible Joint EU-UNDP programme that is funded by the EU and implemented by UNDP.
Purpose of the call
The purpose of the call is to identify projects that propose increased cooperation, with a demonstrable positive impact on the building of trust, as well as attitudes and behaviours that support conflict transformation.
elements that aim to solve conflict triggers within their own communities will also be considered on an exceptional basis.
COBERM III thematic priorities are flexible as long as the project idea demonstrates strong confidence building potential.

We are now accepting project ideas until 5 May 2017, 18:00, COB. No applications will be accepted after this deadline.
