Confidence, building self-esteem workshop topics

Self Love Beauty will offer a series of “Gaining Confidence during Uncertain Times” virtual workshops for adults starting January 9, 2021. This series offers online workshops in two-hour increments, taking place in January, February and March and focusing on personal confidence, health, goals and more.

The purpose of these virtual workshops is for adults (aged 19+) to increase their confidence, build their self-esteem and improve their well-being in a stimulating and engaging atmosphere. The SLB team will use virtual tools, worksheets, presentations, workshops and more to provide the same fun and supportive environment as their in-person workshops – helping attendees connect with themselves and bring lasting changes to their confidence.

“The Self Love Beauty virtual workshops in 2020 gave me the opportunity to focus on continuing to improve my self-confidence and my self-love journey,” says Aimee Allen, teacher at Bay City Central High School and 2020 Virtual Workshop Participant. “Their workshops have helped me through some tough times over the past year, including focusing on creating strong new habits in my life, setting achievable goals and re-believing in myself to be the best version of myself for myself, my family and my students. I will be back in 2021.”

Building Confidence in Uncertain Times workshops include:

• Workshop #1 focuses on “Steps to Gaining Confidence in Your Goals with a Passion and Purpose Lens” and runs from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Saturday, January 9 and 16 virtually. This workshop will help participants recognize their passions or enhance their current passions, identify their “why” in life, set realistic yet challenging goals through the lens of their purpose, and create personal values ​​for themselves- same. They will walk away with a new sense of confidence and fulfillment, ready to move forward in life with purpose, following their own path.

• Workshop #2 focuses on “How to Break the Habit of Self Doubt and Build True Confidence” and is taking place virtually from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., February 14 and 21. This workshop will provide participants with the tools to improve their confidence and self-esteem. SLB staff will guide participants through activities to identify their strengths, discover areas they need to build confidence, and ways to practice positive self-talk. They will come out of this workshop ready to conquer their dreams, proud of what they bring, and have the courage to raise their hands personally and professionally with confidence.

• Workshop #3 focuses on “Mastering the Skills to Maximize Your Physical and Mental Health” and runs from 9:30-11:30 am, March 6-13. SLB staff help participants learn to sail by taking care of themselves physically and mentally. . Participants will participate in group discussions, reflections and interactive activities on how to overcome difficult circumstances, increase their energy through small effective habits, create conscious intentions to be more present and take care of themselves with confidence.

In the series of workshops, participants will also come away with real-world skills, including the abilities to:

• Have confidence in oneself and in one’s skills, talents and passions

• Build strong bonds with themselves and those around them

• Set achievable goals guided by their personal values

• Be resilient in the face of difficult circumstances

• Be motivated to create new habits leading to long-term change.
