Raw War Paintball Achieves “Confidence Building” Goals

WHETHER it’s team building, bachelor or bachelorette parties or birthday parties, fortune is definitely smiling on the bravest at the ultimate Lake District paintball experience.

Raw War Paintballing in Aspatria delivers immersive warzone terrain through its eight action-packed combat scenarios, including everything from sniper towers to trenches to keep you out of the line of fire.

The family business, founded in 2003 by Chris Wilson, was created to help his son Jonathon get involved in business.

“I thought it would help him get a good foundation and get better interpersonal skills more than anything else.

“Paintball is one of those things that will knock you out of your shell in every aspect,” he said.

Chris said one of the company’s main goals was to encourage “confidence building”, while bringing smiles and laughter to faces – which he passes with flying colors.

“What we’re trying to do is take the competitive spirit out of people and try to foster an altruism that comes from people who will put themselves on the line for the greater good of the team.

“It’s not just about getting bruises, it’s about hoping to leave thinking that they had an absolutely exhilarating experience and a blast, while making sure they had the time as safe as possible,” he said.

Chris said the business had been hit hard during covid-19, particularly with the postponement of stag and hen parties, but luckily the business is back on full throttle.

“Coming out of Covid gives us a chance to reassess the business and update our marketing – we probably never knew how much social media influences people as opposed to word of mouth.

Chris said that running a paintball arena is a bit like “being a good chef in a restaurant”.

“Not many people can replicate your style, there’s a real personality that comes with it, which only we deliver – all with a personal touch.

“All we want is for people to have great memories with us and to know that we think ahead of them about how they enjoy it and that we’re making sure everyone is safe.” he declared.
